In this class you will be given exercises in tonal composition and mark making ,which will assist you in the making of your final drawings. You will also be shown the best techniques for the use of your materials by accomplished charcoal artist, Andrew Antoniou, who will guide you through to the completion of your dark and light creation.
About The Teacher
Andrew Antoniou is a distinguished painter and printmaker known for his masterful etchings and engaging drawings. A graduate of Winchester School of Art and Central School of Art, London, Antoniou has garnered acclaim with solo exhibitions at major Australian galleries and international venues like Davidson Galleries in Seattle. With a robust portfolio that includes finalist spots in prestigious prizes and numerous accolades such as the Tyree Tycan Drawing Prize and the Swan Hill Drawing Prize, his work is celebrated for its technical brilliance and evocative depth. Antoniou’s art graces prominent collections, including the National Gallery of Australia and the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, and he has left a lasting impact through his teaching at leading NSW universities and art schools.
