Tech Talks: Recording Basics for Ausmusic Month

To celebrate Ausmusic Month this November, the Brand X Tech Team are running a two-hour Tech Talk on DIY Recording, with a focus on the basics of recording for musicians and podcasters with little to no sound experience.

Participants will learn about the basics of recording with an interface, microphones, setting up and bouncing sessions in Pro Tools and Logic. The aim of this workshop is to upskill emerging artists, giving them the knowledge and confidence to record music on their own.

Brand X’s Tech Talks are run by the City of Sydney Creative Studios’ in-house technical team who have a wealth of experience across sound, music, and live production. With diverse backgrounds as engineers, producers, and technicians, they’re passionate about supporting artists and sharing their expertise.
