Tapestry is the result of a collaboration between Adjacency Studio, Sydney University, and Hobart Women’s Shelter. The exhibition will showcase the work produced by students in the second-year design studio, “Let Every Voice Be Heard”.

To have safe and adequate shelter is a fundamental human right. Understanding and raising awareness of the importance and need for exemplary social housing, specifically that which provides for the increasing numbers of women and children at risk of homelessness, is a crisis that architects can advocate for. Two cohorts have worked with this brief and have produced a multiplicitous body of work that is clever and empathetic. This exhibition will present this body of work woven together as a Tapestry; a physical and digital archive of two exceptional semesters of work.
