Sunday 12 November 2023 from 3pm to 5pm

Cost

Starting from: $25.00

Sydney University Graduate Choir and Orchestra welcome our Sydney Sings...® guest choristers to sing with us Haydn’s The Creation.

This masterwork with its monumental choruses and imaginative arias cemented Haydn’s fame across Europe and depicts the creation of the world as described in the Book of Genesis and Milton’s Paradise Lost. It is a glorious celebration of the wonders of life. The work was immediately hailed for its exuberance, originality, classical elegance and intellectual power. Today it remains one of the most joyful and enjoyable choral works for both audience and performers.

Conductor: Christopher Bowen OAM

Soloists: Lana Kains (soprano), Richard Butler (tenor) and Andrew O’Connor (bass)
