Spin & Drum: Japanese Craft Adventure

Where
Harold Park Community Hall
Harold Park Community Hall
1 Dalgal Way, Forest Lodge NSW 2037
Tramsheds Shooping Center
When

Saturday 5 July from 4pm to 5pm

Join us for a fun and creative workshop led by Sydney Nanny, where kids will craft their own koma (spinning tops) and den-den taiko (drums) using paper plates, origami, and stickers. Koma have been a beloved Japanese toy for centuries, spun for good luck, while den-den taiko drums bring energy to festivals and celebrations with their fun beats.

With Maho and Toshimi as facilitators, children will not only design and decorate their own creations but also learn the cultural significance behind these traditional Japanese arts. They'll get to experiment with spinning tops, try simple drumming rhythms, and take home their handmade crafts as a special memory.

Let's spin, drum, and celebrate together!
