Please join us for a fun night of making new connections, in a safe, intimate setting! Why speed-friending? Around a quarter of Australians have experienced loneliness at some point. Sydney, according to a TimeOut survey published last year, has been voted as the "third least friendliest" city in the world. We're here to change that, one speed-friending event at a time. All genders are welcome!

This special event will be hosted by the hilarious Jennifer Wong, host of ABC's Chopsticks or Fork show.

The ticket includes a welcome drink and a spread of food prepared by a refugee chef. There'll be vegetarian options available. You can also donate an extra $5, and this will go to Wayside Chapel, a charity that is at the forefront of supporting people who experience social isolation.

*Please note that this is an 18+ event.

Welcome Merchant is a social enterprise that elevates entrepreneurs who identify as a refugee, a former refugee and/or as a person seeking asylum via our online directory, free skill building workshops, merchandise partnerships and event partnerships.
