Discover what life is like as a soldier with an interactive experience at the Memorial these school holidays.

Soldiers: How They Live displays a typical soldier’s sleeping and living arrangements in the field. Set around the soldier’s morning routine, this display gives children and adults alike the opportunity to have a close-up look at the equipment needed when a soldier is away from their base.

Hold and inspect the various pieces of soldiers’ equipment, including uniforms, mud maps and sleeping equipment. Our staff will be available to answer any questions you may have.

Don’t miss out on this unique insight into life as a soldier.

The setup will be on display in the Memorial’s Auditorium on Lower Ground level on Thursday, 10 October from 9.30am until 4.30pm. Entry is free.

After you have visited the display, stop by the Memorial’s permanent exhibition to learn more about the experiences of Australians who served in conflict and peacekeeping operations for over a century.
