Slow fashion and textiles group

The Slow Fashion and Textiles Group provides a friendly supportive space for participants to repair, mend, refashion, embellish and creatively reuse textiles.
We provide a welcoming and inclusive space to share sewing, knitting, crochet and craft skills. We welcome all ages, genders and skill levels. There is no group leader or pressure, so bring along a project or idea, or help someone else with theirs.
We are committed to the circular economy by keeping clothes and textiles from landfill and minimising the use of virgin resources.
From 1 August 2023 the Randwick Slow Fashion and Textiles Group has decided to reschedule its meetings from weekly on Tuesdays to one Saturday a month from 10am to 12 noon. A decision has not yet been made as to which Saturday this will be.
