Silversmithing taster class

Discover the art of silversmithing with our exciting Silversmithing Taster Class! This introductory class is perfect for beginners who are looking for something fun to do, or as an intro into the world of silversmithing. We'll guide you through the basic tools and techniques needed to create your own small sterling silver earrings.

During the class, you'll have the opportunity to browse through our template designs and choose your favourite shape from the selection. We have a variety of shapes ranging from circles, ovals, flowers, hearts, ginko leaf, tear drops, rectangles, stars, triangles and so on.

You'll be given a piece of sterling silver sheet, enough to create a small pair of earrings measuring up to 2cm per earring. We'll teach you how to cut your chosen shapes using a hand saw and refine the edges with files and emery paper.

Choose between a matte or high-shine finish before drilling a hole in the silver to attach the ear hooks.

A larger piece of silver can be purchased on the day to make bigger earrings if you'd like.

Please note, this is a beginner class using our standard ear hooks only, no studs.
