SILVER WINDS ENSEMBLE
Hear two of Australia's award-winning flautists, Mark Underwood and James Fortune, together with celebrated Australian composer/ pianist Margaret Brandman present ‘BACH TO BRANDMAN AND BEYOND’. A program of classical and contemporary/crossover works filled with joyful melodies, luscious harmonies and rhythmic vitality.
The concert will include world-premieres of Brandman's works for two flutes and piano, some from her ‘Cosmic Wheel of the Zodiac’ song cycle and three Latin-American works from her LA VIDA APASIONADA suite, plus the sparkling gem of the concert is her SILVER WINDS SUITE composed especially for Mark Underwood and to finish the concert, enjoy two very special arrangements of Waltzing Matilda by both Margaret Brandman and Mark Underwood.
