Seb Szabo is letting his guard down.

The charming Melbourne songwriter shares heartfelt, cinematic fragments of his life for dreamers & everyday romantics.

Why do everyday tasks, like taking out the bins in the biting cold, stir up the brightest, most bittersweet memories? How is it that a specific season will always remind you of someone you loved? Inspired by his Californian grandmother and memories of her well-worn piano, Seb Szabo shares heartfelt fragments of joyful alt-rock about the life he is living and observing; old friends, meeting strangers, exploring new cities, crushing on, getting ghosted, and imagining - then dashing - entire futures over a cup of coffee.

Seb Szabo is “mildly” addicted to being on stage, where it's okay to feel rather than think. Where singalongs are encouraged. Where the songs are for everybody. Put your headphones on, close your eyes and leap from the obvious path. Let his lessons remind you that wherever you are, even if it might hurt, the possibility that it might be worth it is always enough reason to go for it.

Building a groundswell of loyal followers in 2025 by performing in unique live spaces (backyards, warehouses, the streets) as well as appearances supporting Medium Build, Bic Runga, Jordy Maxwell & at BIGSOUND, Szabo’s lyric-driven singalongs capture the colours of romance: dancing in the kitchen, crushing on strangers, exploring new cities, getting ghosted, and imagining then dashing entire futures over a cup of coffee.

Celebrating the release of new road-trip-ready single “Tangerine (All I Want)” with more releases on the horizon before summer, Szabo & his band hit The Oxford Art Factory Gallery Bar on Thurs Dec 11 for their first ever Sydney headline show.

Singalongs encouraged.
