Tuesday 23 January from 10am to 12:30pm
In our maker day workshop, kids aged 9 to 12 will immerse themselves in a range of activities that explore the 5 tenets of STEAM - science, technology, engineering, art and maths.
Within our Makerspace, they'll embark on a fascinating journey into the natural world, with activities encompassing laser cutting, photography, and printmaking. Digital microscopes will unveil intricate details of feathers, leaves, and seeds, previously hidden to the naked eye.
Have fun taking macro photos with our microscopes to make your own laser-cut keyring or bag tag to take home using elements from nature.
Explore the art of analogue printmaking methods to create cool nature prints using pressed plants, flowers and leaves.
Kids will love using both digital and analogue technologies in our fully equipped Makerspace.
What you’ll learn
This workshop is a fun introduction to enjoy using both digital and analogue technologies in our fully equipped Makerspace. Our experienced facilitators will be on hand to guide you through the space and its equipment.
