Few Australian wineries have contributed more to the story of fine wine than Tyrrell's, whose wines have become benchmarks for the Hunter Valley and beyond. We are delighted to welcome Chief Winemaker Andrew Spinaze, who will lead this special masterclass, sharing insights into the estate's history, vineyards, and winemaking philosophy. This tasting has been carefully curated to showcase both the diversity and remarkable longevity of Tyrrell's most celebrated wines. Highlights include a rare vertical of the iconic Vat 1 Semillon, alongside the beautifully matured Single Vineyard Belford Semillon 2009. Guests will also explore two of Australia's finest Chardonnays with the renowned Vat 47 and Sacred Site HVD Chardonnay, before comparing current and aged releases of the legendary Vat 9 Shiraz and Vat 8 Shiraz Cabernet—wines that have long demonstrated the remarkable ageing potential of the Hunter Valley. The evening will commence with a glass of the elegant Blanc de Blancs 2017, setting the tone for an exceptional tasting experience. With Andrew Spinaze guiding every wine, this promises to be a rare opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of one of Australia's most iconic wineries.
