Richard Stanley is a professional artist living in Cygnet, Tasmania. He studied at the Claremont School of Art, for a Diploma majoring in Painting and Drawing. He eventually moved with his family to Tasmania after visiting on a holiday and being incredibly inspired by the stunning light and landscape of Tasmania.

Richard has a great love for landscapes, especially the subtle tones and colours in the sky and water. He is able to create an atmosphere and depth in his work. His love for reflections on the water is an area of inspiration in his work. Richard has exhibited in many exhibitions and art awards, winning nine People’s Choice Awards and three Mayor’s Choice Awards over the years, including several acquisitional awards.
