Sunday 20 August 2023 from 1pm to 3pm
How does a building influence your mood? What does the state of a toothbrush tell us about a relationship? Why might a dead houseplant be a sign of hope? Can place be the hero of a story or are locations just backdrops for more important things?
Join comics educator Fionn McCabe and cartoonist and animator Evie Hilliar at the Darling Square Library for a 3-hour comic workshop exploring the impact of “place” in visual storytelling.
This hands-on workshop will introduce foundational comics principles through a series of practical exercises, resulting in a short autobiographical comic about a place from your past.
No drawing skills necessary. Pens and paper supplied. This workshop is designed for ages 16 and up.
