Raising Superheroes Premiere
- Wednesday 21 October from 6:45pm to 9:45pm
We hear a lot about the mental health crisis. Raising Superheroes asks a different question. What if we could prevent much of the suffering before it begins?
Filmed across Australia and around the world, this uplifting new documentary goes in search of the people, ideas and communities already changing the story. From families and schools to researchers and remarkable grassroots programs, it uncovers what is possible when we stop waiting for crisis and start creating the conditions for people to thrive.
What emerges is not a film about everything that is going wrong. It is a film about what we can do differently.
At its heart, Raising Superheroes is a hopeful and deeply human story about the world we are creating for the next generation and the extraordinary possibility that some mental health conditions are not inevitable.
Join us for the Sydney premiere, followed by a warm, practical conversation about what prevention looks like where we live, learn, work and play. Our MC will be joined by panellists including film director Shannon Harvey and Prevention United CEO Suzanne Dick.
