Peter Watts stands as a distinguished landscape artist, gaining acclaim as a finalist in the 2021, 2022 and 2024 prestigious Glover Prize. Renowned for his adept portrayal of ephemeral moments, he expertly captures the interplay of light and shadow in the expansive skies and rural settings of Southern Australia.

His artistic presence extends beyond national borders, with representations in art galleries across Australia and Singapore. Born in 1963 in Horsham, Victoria, Peter draws inspiration from the dynamic cloudscapes and landscapes of Southern Australia. His paintings serve as nuanced interpretations of the intricate combinations of shades, movements, and temporal shifts inherent in the elevated terrains.

Exhibiting a discerning perspective on nature’s dynamism and beauty, Peter seamlessly navigates between reality and subtle abstraction, infusing vitality into his creations.
