Straight from the Melbourne underground.

Embark on a captivating sonic journey with Panghalina and The Rest is Silence, bringing the best of Melbourne’s bristling creative music scene to the Sydney Int’l Women’s Jazz Fest.

Panghalina brings together three compelling Australian soloists to explore themes of sonic duality.

Each musician's distinctive approach to sound weaves a mesmerizing tapestry of frenetic textures, morphing into hypnotic grooves and restless motifs.

The unique instrumentation creates a sonic patchwork of overlapping duos, and captivating blend of ethereal vocals, arco double bass harmonics, and synthesizer.

The Rest is Silence is a cross-genre quartet that dreams big and sounds bigger.

Bringing together four prodigious young Melbourne improvisors, the ensemble explores the space between jazz, post-rock, country, and experimental composition.

They explore the dark and the light, the gentle and heavy, the acoustic and the electronic.

Prepare to be enchanted by of both ensembles expansive and eclectic sounds.
