Painting Precious Gems (6-11 Years)
Friday 24 January from 9:30am to 12:30pm
Join us to explore the world of gemstones and minerals through the creative process of painting and drawing! Using oil pastels and acrylic paints, students will learn how to create their own colourful and sparkling gems, inspired by real gemstones and geological specimens.
They will study the unique shapes, colours, and textures of gems, then experiment with layering oil pastels and acrylic paint to capture their vibrant beauty and shine. This class encourages creativity and attention to detail as students learn techniques to create depth, light reflections, and intricate patterns, just like the dazzling gems found in nature.
By the end of the class, each student will have their own stunning gem artwork to take home, showcasing their artistic skills and love for the fascinating world of precious stones!
