Olivia Newton-John Grease + Xanadu Double Feature

Join us at Dendy Newtown on Sunday, August 21 at 1:30PM for a special double feature of GREASE and XANADU. 

Based on the musical of the same name, Grease was originally released in 1978 and was a box office success and has continued to win audiences for over four decades. The film boasted songs written specifically for Olivia including “Hopelessly Devoted To You” and “You’re The One That I Want” that have become timeless hits. Many of the cast have gone on to become household names including John Travolta and Stockard Channing.

Olivia returned to the big screen in 1980 in the musical fantasy film XANADU. Whilst the film didn’t set the box office on fire, the soundtrack became a huge success featuring the number one hits “Magic” and “Xanadu”. The film has since become a cult classic thanks to its mix of 1940s storyline featuring the late Gene Kelly, Greek mythology, the modern music rock and pop scenes of the 70s.
