This practical, short nationally accredited training program aims to attract Deadly new Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to become a qualified Chef.

TAFE NSW is working with the National indigenous Culinary Institute (NICI) to develop this program.

This is a pre apprenticeship program offering practical, entry level skills that allow you to get a real understanding and experience what working as a Chef means. This short program allows you to learn how to participate in a safe kitchen environment and use kitchen equipment,  prepare dishes using basic methods of cookery and be ready to work as an apprentice and completing the nationally accredited qualification Certificate III in Commercial Cookery SIT30821.
