Wednesday 1 March from 7pm to 8:30pm
For Roaring Stories Bookshop’s first author event of 2023 – in collaboration with BAD Sydney Crime Writers Festival – we are thrilled to present the London-based bestselling crime fiction duo behind the nom de plume Nicci French, in conversation with one of Australia’s crime writing superstars, Candice Fox!
Both journalists, husband and wife Sean French and Nicci Gerard have published several riveting books together, including House of Correction, The Unheard and The Lying Room. Now, they've put their combined genius together again to write The Favour – a gripping read that Lee Child has hailed as ‘fantastic… a breathless drumbeat of dread and suspense’ and Erin Kelly has described as 'heart-thumping, head-scratching, nail-biting stuff.’
Join them at White Bay Beer Company on Wednesday 1 March, for what's sure to be a fascinating and thrilling dive into crime fiction, collaborative authorship, and how to write a book that really turns the screw!
Signed copies of The Favour will be available for purchase at the venue through Roaring Stories, as well as in-store.
Attendees are asked to arrive at 6.30pm or earlier for a 7pm start at White Bay Beer Co. Seating is unallocated – another reason to arrive early to secure an optimal spot!
The bar opens 6pm and closes at 9.30pm on the night of the event, making for an opportune time to settle in and grab a drink before or after, with an incredible range of locally brewed beers and other beverages to enjoy. There’ll be plenty of delicious food available too thanks to a special event caterer, so why not make a full evening of it and come for dinner too? You can order before or after the event.
If you miss out on a ticket, you can still watch the event as it is livestreamed from the Roaring Stories Facebook page (accessible on the Home page and from the Live tab). A recording will also be available to view later as an upload on the Roaring Stories YouTube channel.
