The 2023 Global Summit is organised by The University of Sydney Nano Institute and will feature keynote presentations from industry leaders and academic experts, panel discussions, and interactive sessions. You will have the opportunity to network, learn about the latest research and innovations in nanotechnology, and engage in discussions on how nanotechnology can be leveraged to address global sustainability challenges.
Days 1 & 2: the conference will feature plenary sessions with invited speakers and breakouts with submitted presentations
Day 3: focus on a panel discussion engaging policy makers, end-users, funding and government agencies to provide an Australian perspective on the role and impact of nanotechnology on energy security. Attendees will have opportunities to network during coffee and lunch breaks and a conference dinner, as well as participate in poster sessions
Confirmed speakers:
Professor Sushanta Mitra: the Executive Director of the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology and a Professor in Mechanical & Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo.His research focuses on fluid transport in micro and Nano-scale confinements, with applications in energy, water, and bio-systems.
Professor Drox Fixler: an Israeli physicist and the director of the Bar-Ilan Institute of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials. He is a Professor of Electrical Engineering and Nanophotonics at Bar-Ilan University in Israel, as well as a visiting professor at the Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry in China.
