NAIDOC Playdough Art Workshops

For NAIDOC Week at South Eveleigh, 107 will run 3 facilitated art workshops for all ages with inspiration from the specially commissioned artwork “Connections to Our Elders” by Aboriginal activist and Glebe Community artist, Aunty Kathryn Dodd Farrawell, a proud Kaanju-Birri woman, with collaborators Georgia Frew and The Glebe Treehouse.

Participants will have the opportunity to respond to and be inspired by the artwork to create their own pieces out of provided playdough and modelling tools.

There are 3 sessions to pick from. Each ticket costs $10pp, and $15 for 2 kids.

• Session 1: 9:30-10.30am 

• Session 2: 11- 12pm 

• Session 3: 1-2pm

Art Somewhere welcomes all levels and abilities to experiment and learn creative practices in a non-structured teaching environment.

Please note:

• Accessibility: Lift access available if required

• This is not a drop-off event, parents and carers are asked to supervise their children under the age of 16.

Join us as we celebrate NAIDOC Week with a traditional Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony and a contemporary dance performance by Brolga Dance Academy at Midday at Eveleigh Green.

South Eveleigh can easily be reached via public transport – just a short walk from Redfern Station. Convenient parking is available at 2 Central Avenue – 2 hours free with validation at retailers on weekdays and free with entry after 6pm.
