My Eyes is a powerful social impact film that shines a light on the often-overlooked experiences of individuals living with disability, particularly those navigating life with vision impairment.
When Optometrist Alana discovers her daughter has a rare inherited eye disease, she must look into her past to realize her vision for the future. A judo athlete with a vision impairment halfway across the world may hold the answers she is searching for, but old truths threaten to derail the mission and Alana’s marriage. Can she save her daughter’s sight without losing everything else she holds dear?
Inspired by true events, and led by local Sydney actor, writer and producer, Tsu Shan Chambers, this heartfelt Australian story spotlights the remarkable journey of a mother determined to save her daughter’s eyesight.
Also starring Adam Garcia, premiere screenings generate awareness and funds for eye health advocacy and inclusion initiatives.
The film is also showing at Event Cinema Burwood (2 June), Event Cinema Parramatta (4 June) and Hoyts Cinema Warringah (10 June).
