Friday 1 August from 6:30pm to 9:30pm
Shell House is delighted to present an exclusive, one-night-only wine dinner in Clocktower Bar on Friday 1 August, hosted by third-generation winemaker Michael Downer of Murdoch Hill.
A Young Gun of Wine winner in 2017, Michael cut his teeth at Shaw & Smith, Vietti in Barolo and Best’s Great Western before returning home to take over the everyday running of the family estate in 2012. He quickly burst onto the scene with his adventurous small-batch Artisan series, working with fruit from exceptional parcels in the Adelaide Hills.
With a reputation as one of Australia’s most approachable, adventurous, and high-quality wine producers, Murdoch Hill leads the charge in the innovative Adelaide Hills region. Best known for Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Shiraz, the winery uses organic farming principles and progressive techniques to produce a range of exciting, textural wines that set the Australian benchmark.
This exclusive dinner is your chance to meet acclaimed winemaker Michael Downer and gain first-hand insight as he guides you through a selection of Murdoch Hill's finest wines, paired with a four-course menu by Culinary Director Joel Bickford. A rare, behind-the-scenes experience with limited seats available.
