"Movies Live!" – The Good Old Days Concerts

There’s nothing quite like the thrill of a Hollywood movie score! The soaring melodies, the emotional power, the ability to communicate and underscore the story being told on the screen – the music from the movies is worth celebrating all on it’s own!

In this special programme to conclude our 2023 season The Good Old Days Concerts Orchestra, will be augmented by 50% to 24 musicians to present some of the greatest scores ever written in “symphonic” style. Conducted by Bernard Walz at the piano, this concert will celebrate music from “Gone With The Wind” to “Star Wars”, from composers such as John Williams to Henry Mancini, Ennio Morricone, Rodgers and Hammerstein and beyond! Our special guest, soprano Claire Lyon ("Phantom of the Opera", "Into The Woods", "Anything Goes"), will share the great songs that have been an integral part of our movie-going experience.

“Movies Live!” will deserve its own “Academy Award” for sheer entertainment value. Let’s bring our Good Old Days Concerts season for 2023 to a close with some musical “Hollywood glamour”! Don’t miss this concert!
