Inspired by Charles Dickens’ iconic jilted bride, Pulitzer prize winning composer Dominick Argento’s one-act opera is re-imagined for contemporary audiences!

Presented alongside the world premiere of the song cycle Pamphilia to Amphilanthus by Australian composer Jorde Heys, this 50 minute experience combines Lights On Theatre’s unique style of shadow puppetry with the power of the operatic voice to examine obsessive love, betrayal and the haunting power of memory.

Miss Havisham’s Wedding Night is composed by Dominick Argento by arrangement with Origin Theatrical on behalf of Boosey and Hawkes Music Publishers Ltd. Sponsored by Inner West Council, Reverse Garbage and Chippen Street Theatre.
