On Saturday, 28 September, Messina is hosting a 1 day event with Alisha Henderson and Alice Bennett, two excellent cake makers from Melbourne who know how to hit the sweet spot with their decadent cakes.
Think bake sale meets ice cream party – Alisha and Alice will take over the store with their cake slices, inspired by our gelato flavours.
We will also be serving gelato sundaes and sandwiches, plus Shadow Baking will be cooking savoury breakfast pizzas in our shiny new Gozney Arc and making the coffees. If you’re in need of something stronger, the Messina Creative Bar will be serving boujee mimosas and breakfast cocktails.

Milk Choc Peanut Fudge - chocolate sour cream cake swirled with peanut butter, salted caramel ganache + milk choc frosting + peanut praline.
Serial Chillers - vanilla cake soaked in cereal milk, honeyjoy crumble, honey joy slice folded buttercream + honey drizzle.
LMP - lemon olive oil cake, lemon curd + baked almond pie crumb + toasted meringue.
Tea and Bickies - earl grey infused sponge, early grey buttercream, shortbread crumble & raspberry jam.
Messy Juliette - vanilla buttermilk with swirled strawberry compote, marsala soak, vanilla buttercream, roasted marsala strawberry compote + whipped vanilla cream.
Super Dulce - caramel mud cake, caramel buttercream, messina dulce de leche + caramel crisp pearls.
Strawberry Kisses - vanilla pannacotta, victoria sponge, strawberry coulis, vanilla gelato and chantilly topped with zuppa inglese soaked strawberries and lime zest.
Tiramisuki -tiramisu gelato sandwiched between two choc chip cookies, topped with coffee frosting and dusted with cocoa powder.
