World-class musicians bring an intimate concert to Peach Black Gallery, featuring Adolfo Trepiana on bandoneon and Luciano Steffanoli on piano. Performing in Australia for the very first time, this acclaimed duo blends sophistication, energy and deep emotion, captivating audiences worldwide from intimate house concerts to major venues.
Since 2016, they have brought tango to new audiences across the globe, performing with celebrated ensembles such as Astillero and the Latin Grammy-nominated Tanghetto. On Friday 1 August at Peach Black Gallery, they will present a powerful repertoire featuring the music of Astor Piazzolla and other iconic tango orchestras, joined by surprise guest artists, including dancers, who will add to the magic.
Adolfo, one of the most experienced bandoneon players of his generation, has performed at major international festivals across Europe and the Americas. Luciano, deeply rooted in traditional Argentine music, is known for his skill as both pianist and musical director. Together, they offer an intimate and evocative concert that brings you to the very heart of Argentina.
Surrounded by the evocative artworks of Matteo Bernasconi, this concert will be a powerful meeting of visual art and tango, where music, movement and painting come together in dialogue.
