Mendoza Tango Quartet with Solange Lipcin

When

Friday 29 November from 7pm to 10pm

Doors open 7pm, concert starts 8pm

Prepare to be swept away by the passion and intensity of Argentina's most iconic music with The Mendoza Tango Quartet, one of Australia's leading exponents of traditional tango. These four fiery musicians, alongside the velvet voice of Buenos Aires native Solange Lipcin, will take you on a musical journey through the dancehalls and hidden tango clubs of Buenos Aires.

From the elegant sounds of 1930s tango to the bold avant-garde movements of the 1970s and beyond, the Mendoza Tango Quartet delves deep into the history of this rich art form. With the unmistakable ferocity of the bandoneón and an impassioned performance that goes beyond the cliché, this is a night not to be missed.

Join us on Friday, 29 November, at Peach Black Gallery for an evening of soul-stirring music that brings Argentina’s heart to life in Sydney
