On International Drug Users Remembrance Day, we take time to remember the people whose lives were unjustly cut short due to the criminalisation and stigmatisation of people who use drugs.
To us, they were more than a casualty – they were our family, friends, peers and loved ones.
There will be speakers, music, written messages and light refreshments provided. In case of wet weather the event will be moved to the Rex Centre.
Everyone is welcome.
This event is organised by City of Sydney in partnership with NSW Health, St. Vincent's Hospital, NSW Users & AIDS Association, Wayside Chapel, Kirketon Road Centre and Sydney Medically Supervised Injecting Centre.
