The Living Room Theatre in association with Kawai presents Max Alduca Quintet : Unknown Flow single launch + solo set

Sydney based double bassist Max Alduca is launching the first single Unknown Flow from his upcoming debut album Monastery

Monastery features seven of Max's original compositions. From introspective ballads to expansive free-flowing improvisations, the album is an exploration of sanctuary through sound and space. The first single Unknown Flow is a contemplation of the natural flow of life that is ever present, yet often seems to evade our awareness.

Max is joined by close collaborators and friends Hilary Geddes (guitar), Michael Avgenicos (tenor sax), Luke Sweeting (piano) and James Waples (drums).

In support of the quintet Max will present a new set of solo work delving into the resonance of the double bass, weaving through melody’s and textural improvisations.

  • Max Alduca, double bass

  • Michael Avgenicos, tenor saxophone

  • Hilary Geddes guitar

  • Luke Sweeting, piano

  • James Waples, drums
