History matters – as we "mark" history, so we learn from it.

Celebrate History week at WEA Sydney with four very special events:

  • Looking Back to '58 and the development of the Australian Encyclopaedia: Monday 9 September at 10am

  • History Matters! Explore how history courses are constructed along with learning about time periods: Tuesday 10 September at 10am

  • Staying in Contact – the history of Australian communication from First Nations messaging to the communicating into space: Thursday 12 September at 12:15pm

  • Power to the People – the growth of adult education in Sydney: Friday 13 September at 2pm

Join us for these fascinating stories from our history. These classes are free with light refreshments provided.
