A panel discussion responding to Dylan Mooney’s commission as part of the 24th Biennale of Sydney, depicting Malcolm Cole in his iconic Captain Cook drag for Mardi Gras 1988 designed with Panos Couros.

This panel will see artists, peers, family members and scholars speak to the incredible legacy of Malcolm Cole as a Blak, Queer, Aboriginal artist and activist. Together the panelists reflect on his career as a dancer, broadcast presenter and pioneer, as well as his personal relationships and character.
