From growing up in the Australian bush to living in Tokyo throughout the pandemic, Mahne Frame is an artist with multiple truths: be it the outfits he’s loaned his drum skills to (namely Jonatan Leandoer96, Aya Gloomy, Kirin J Callinan), or his solo music, branded with ambiguity, cynicism and an impossible cohesiveness.
Inspired by Goldie, Valentino Rossi, Max Rockatansky, his “baritone-monotone” (NME) dragged over a backbone of 808’s and “icy rave beats” (PAPER) has seen the singer/drummer/producer collaborate with Australian artist Buzz Kull and Japanese rapper Tohji.
Mahne Frame will perform at Phoenix Central Park on Thursday 25 July 2024.
