'Magpirate' – Andrew Ensor

A magpie's song becomes a sea shanty in Andrew Ensor’s latest exhibition. Set sail for an adventure of drawing featuring new works alongside a selection of birds and boats from his previous exhibitions.

'I began drawing birds around 2007, originally inspired by pigeons and a need to capture the kind of mundane beauty we’re surrounded by every day but take for granted. It quickly became a common re-occurring source of inspiration, returning regularly, like a migration cycle.'

Andrew Ensor is a Sydney based artist who has been creating his unique visual brand, blending delicate drawing with pen and acrylic for two decades. This is his fourth show with Tiliqua Tiliqua.
