A deeply passionate and imaginative performer, Rosie Gallagher enjoys a varied life as a musician around the world. Born in Sydney Australia, she received a BM from The Juilliard School and a MM from the Royal Academy of Music.

She has performed with groups that include the 21c Festival of Contemporary Music, Yellowbarn Music Festival, Heartbeat Opera, Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra and Ensemble Connect which is a two year fellowship program of Carnegie Hall and the Weill Music Institute that combines artistic excellence with social engagement training.

Georgia Lowe is a harp soloist, chamber and orchestral musician, and teacher based in Sydney, Australia. Her performances have included the Australian premiere of Leo Weiner's Romance Op.29 for cello and harp with the North Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the launch of Australia's first-ever harp quartet, the Australian Harp Quartet (AHQ). She has performed Ravel's Introduction and Allegro with the Sydney Symphony Fellows during their regional tour (2016), the Gliere Harp Concerto with the Ryde Hunters Hill Symphony Orchestra and Beecroft Orchestra (2015), Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez with Mosman Symphony Orchestra (2014), the Mozart Flute and Harp concerto with Manly Warringah Orchestra (2013), and the Debussy Danses Sacrée et Profane with North Sydney Symphony Orchestra (2012).

Georgia was privileged to study under internationally renowned harpist Sivan Magen for three intensive years in New York, where she received her Master of Music from City University New York. Prior to traveling overseas, she studied with esteemed Australian harpist Louise Johnson, Principal Harpist of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, both privately and at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

Georgia has been interviewed by and had several performances on Fine Music 102.5FM, including a broadcast of Kats-Chernin's Eliza Aria specially arranged by Georgia for AHQ, and was named a 2MBS FM Young Performer in 2011. Georgia was a guest performer with the Sirius Chamber Ensemble for their 2015 season. She attended the 2012 Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival in Finland with support from Ars Musica Australis.

One of the few venues in Sydney that continued to support musicians during COVID-19 St James’ lunchtime concerts are 30 minutes in length, commencing at 1:15pm, and are livestreamed as well, so patrons have the choice of attending in person or watching online.

A unique bonus is that online ticketholders can watch a recording of the concert as many times as they wish until the Tuesday following the concert.

Tickets are $10 and all proceeds go to the musicians and the cost of livestreaming.

Our musicians have been hit hard by pandemic, and St James’ is thrilled to have the opportunity to support the professionals who give us such enjoyment and solace through their craft.
