Friday 28 April 2023 from 1pm to 2pm Thursday 4 May 2023 from 5:30pm to 6:30pm
First session is at Customs House. Second session is an online webinar.
Janet Villata and Dominique Novak D’Hennin from the City of Sydney Archives will share 3 stories of Sydney’s past that they discovered using the online Archives & History Resources catalogue.
One story relates to a lost person, one to a business lost in dramatic circumstances and one to a ‘lost’ building that was planned but never realised.
Janet and Dominique will also introduce you to the catalogue which contains over 1 million items about the City of Sydney. Access documents, photographs, maps and plans from as early as 1842 and see what discoveries you can make about Sydney, its people, streets and spaces.
This event celebrates the Australian Heritage Festival 2023.
