In this series Kylie Stillman traverses and embeds a multitude of tangible and immaterial trails.

She draws, stretches, stitches, paints and perforates shapes and lines of nuanced movement perceptible in her world: a sphere of moon rising on a short winter’s eve; a gum leaf fallen on a street near the artist’s home; the repetitive motion of hands and fingers as she sews. Through two-dimensional illusionism and three-dimensional reality, transient forms and trajectories become magnified in Stillman’s practice.

Her process is slow and ritualistic, disrupting consumerist and urgency culture and drawing focus to her exceptionally detailed handmade processes and everyday moments of absurdity, wonder and possibility.
