Jonathan Henderson & Szu Yu Chen | Flute & Piano recital

Australian flutist Jonathan Henderson trained with Europe’s leading flute professors and has carved out a multifaceted performance career spanning from Australia to the Nordic countries. Joined by pianist Szu Yu Chen, the duo will present an imaginative recital which pairs two of J.S. Bach’s inventive flute sonatas with striking modern works; Olivier Messiaen’s vivid Le Merle Noir (The Blackbird) and Jonathan Harvey’s Run Before Lightning – a kaleidoscope of scales and trills escalating virtuosity to new heights.
