Where is the beginning and is there an end?
The spaces between us are not empty. They are alive with movement, influence and possibility. Each thread contributes to a larger pattern - complex, evolving and impossible to untangle completely. Community lives within these connections. It is not simply a gathering of individuals, but a network, a web of symbiotic relationships, shared experiences and mutual influence.
Intertwined explores the reciprocity that connects us to one another through a universal consciousness and the melancholic object. Ceramics, textiles, glass, paper, photography and mixed media, the exhibition presents diverse materials, skills and perspectives, reflecting the ways communities are formed through shared experience and exchange, illuminating the unseen roots of heirloom. Each artist expanding their
visual theories, communications and relatives diverged through Sydney College of the Arts whilst enduring individual paths through time.
