Recommendations for Nature-related risk management and disclosure through the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures is a clear signal that the expectations of global capital markets, regulators, governments and other stakeholders are shifting, with global mandatory disclosure likely within 2–5 years.

Members of the Climate Leaders Coalition, led by Blackmores, recognise the importance of action now and identify an opportunity to get to Nature-based Assessment and Strategy faster. They have designed a digital tool (NatSTART) that enables members and the broader business community to prioritise likely material aspects of their exposure to Nature impacts and build a credible business case for Nature-based assessment. NatSTART is an adjunct to existing Nature Risk Assessment frameworks and does not duplicate or replace the assessment guidance in the TNFD, Science-Based Targets for Nature (SBTN) or similar.
