Initiate 48: Build Your Own Startup!

Initiate 48 is your opportunity to connect with mentors and work alongside other high schoolers as you turn your ideas into a reality.
This program is jam-packed with up-skilling opportunities ranging from ideating solutions to identifying and understanding who your customers are and what is it they genuinely care about.
Over the 48 hours, you will:
Pitch an idea or join a team
Collaborate with entrepreneurs, mentors and like-minded students to build on these ideas
Have fun, win prizes and start your business within 48 hours!

The opportunity to meet and collaborate with like-minded students
Access to mentors, who are a combination of investors, entrepreneurs, developers and designers
Startup workshops (including Problem Identification, Market Research, Product Development, Financials, Traction & Startup Pitching)
Dinner is catered all three days
A pool of prizes to be won (including merch and cash prizes), and
The opportunity to represent your school in the finals of Generation Entrepreneur's nationwide tournament, School Entrepreneur of the Year 2023 in November of this year.

No previous experience is required. Initiate 48 is perfect for anyone looking to learn how to start their own business!
For this Initiate 48, we recommend that you enter the competition with other members from your school. If you can't find others interested in joining this competition from your school, you are welcome to register as an individual and find your team at the start of the hackathon.
The first day of Initiate 48 will be held at UTS Startups. The second and last day will be held at the Finder's headquarters. You can find the addresses for both below:
