Five Strings Collaborative presents In Cahoots with Roots and Shoots, an exhibition that explores and celebrates the symbiotic bonds that connect and sustain our environment. Featuring 5 women artists passionate about nature and habitat, its stories and creatures, its wild and gentle spaces. We have been exhibiting together for over 7 years and seek to bring attention to what may so easily go unnoticed in a busy world, via drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture.
In Cahoots with Roots and Shoots celebrates the essence of nature. Roots diving into the earth, or pushing up through its surface, creating intricate networks that anchor and ground, providing haven and habitat. Tender shoots bursting with life, piercing the soil, reaching for sunlight, promising sustainable growth for future generations. Roots can remind us of our heritage, and shoots of possibility, and together of the cycle of life. Our exhibition celebrates nature – its fragility and resilience, its beauty and wildness, its mystery and innocence and most of all serves to remind us to protect and nurture our natural world.
