When the sun goes down HQ comes alive! Get ready to explore our precinct - we've got food and drink, live music, dj's, workshops and art - plenty of cool venues and exciting activations during Vivid Sydney. Make a night of it and explore the Neon Art Trail then kick on, in one of the many bars and restaurants in our area. The HQ Food Trail ensures that the most discerning of diners will be satisfied. The Gig Trail offers live bands, dj’s and dancing into the early hours. Open Air Street Events are a one-night only experience!

Gig Trail: A series of workshops and live performances will take over Hollywood Quarter. during Vivid Sydney. Six venues featuring 18 events in total with solo performance, live bands, dj's, covering pop, rock, soul and hip hop.

Food and Drink Trail: Hollywood Quarter’s renowned venues will offer food and drink specials to cater to all tastes and budgets. With some of the best restaurants and bars in town, visitors can enjoy exclusive Vivid Sydney menus, including a special pre- and post-Vivid Sydney Light Walk dining experience.

Neon Trail: Inviting film lovers to think about the movies that have shaped our collective past and exploring the concept of ‘dream,’ the Neon Trail will see venues across HQ Sydney present their own interpretation via movie titles or quotes transformed into neon art for visitors to explore and muse on.

A Taste of HQ: For one night only, Foster Street, Surry Hills will close to traffic and open to a feast of flavour. An al fresco dining destination in the heart of Hollywood Quarter as part of the precinct wide Vivid Sydney takeover, Hollywood Dreaming. From 5 to 11 pm 'A Taste of HQ' invites food lovers to experience exclusive dishes, small plates and festival specials from some of Sydney’s most celebrated restaurants. Saturday 31 May. From 5pm. Foy Lane Lights Up: Step into a world of light, sound and energy as Foy Lane transforms into a vibrant laneway party for one night only. Curated by the Ace Hotel, expect light art, live music, DJs and a high-energy crowd soaking up the atmosphere, as food, music and light collide in the heart of Sydney’s Hollywood Quarter for this Vivid Sydney exclusive laneway-takeover. A curated digital art light show curated by Arts Matter will illuminate the space, turning the laneway into a canvas of creativity. 14 June. FREE.
