Elements is a printmaking exhibition by the Print Circle focused on the elemental themes of Earth, Air, Water and Fire. The exhibition explores the cultural, symbolic, and natural significance of each element through printmaking, connecting audiences with the primal forces that shape our world both in the local community and further afield.
The work includes traditional printmaking techniques as well as showcasing more contemporary approaches to etching, wood and lino cuts, photopolymer, silkscreen and more. Each process celebrating the tactile and transformative processes unique to this medium, reinterpreting the elements in ways that resonate with the contemporary concerns of environmental change, cultural heritage, and human resilience.
All works are presented unframed to reflect the raw beauty and vulnerability of the elements around us.
