Good access is good for business

When

Thursday 30 November 2023 from 8am to 10am

Join this free breakfast event hosted by the City of Sydney to learn how to enhance accessibility to boost your business. You’ll hear practical advice and tips from experts about how to create a better experience for customers and staff, while improving the diversity, inclusion, and profitability of your business.

There’s growing evidence that good access is good for business. Research from Monash University shows that for every dollar businesses spend on better access, there is a $13 return on investment.

More than 4.4 million or 1 in 6 Australians experience disability. Businesses that make it easier to buy products and services by improving access and inclusion have been found to have twice as much selling power.

Becoming more accessible and inclusive doesn’t have to be hard. There are simple actions you can make to improve your customer service, physical environment, and communication to be more welcoming of people with disability.

Speakers

  • President of the Australian Human Rights Commission, Emeritus Professor Rosalind Croucher AM: The business case for good access.

  • IncludeAbility ambassador and comedian Tim Ferguson

  • Zero Barriers executive officer Dee-Dee San Jose

Meet people from other organisations committed to improving diversity and inclusion and learn how you can become a Zero Barriers accredited business.

Bookings essential for this free International Day of People with Disability event.
