An incredible true story based on Amazon's best seller Georgina Holocaust Memoirs by Gabriella Kovac.

This theatrical production depicts one woman’s bravery and daring, surviving the darkest days of the Holocaust in Hungary and a brutal communist regime.

December 1944, whilst heavy snows fall over Budapest and soldiers battle for the streets, Georgina, a young Jewish woman, is nearly starving to death with her newborn son. The battle outside is one of the most savage in the entire war. She knows that to go to the streets is virtually a death sentence or rape, but she must find food within the next few hours or her baby will certainly die.

For Georgina, there is no choice. Alone and completely vulnerable, she heads out into the freezing cold.

"I invite you to share in my mother’s amazing journey of survival: She was a carefree young woman thrust into the worst tragedy in human history – emerging triumphant, and successfully immigrating to Australia – where 'the streets are paved with gold'.

Depicted in a way the whole family can enjoy. You will laugh. You will cry. You will marvel at the audacity of one individual’s courage. Join us on this emotional roller coaster of oral history and be inspired." – Gabriella Kovac
