Thursday 17 October from 6pm to 7pm
‘Future Planning for Creatives’ is an online workshop that reframes and explains the business and strategic planning process, made specifically for creative practitioners and arts businesses.
A business or strategic plan is more than a way to make a bank or funder happy. It can be a truly invaluable tool to help you figure out where you’re going – and why.
Summarising your creative business or arts organisation into a written plan is a great idea, but without guidance it can become a stale and unused document that never gets implemented. This online workshop focuses on creating practical action plans that work. With plenty or templates and tools to discuss, this friendly and real-world workshop will help arts practitioners from beginners to more experience professionals.
Participants will discuss the following, with a focus on arts practice and creative industries:
The planning process in general, and how to understand the different types.
A look at the ‘traditional’ business and strategic plan, and the sections to focus on.
The importance of understanding the benefits of a vision, mission and values statement.
Choosing the right template for your purposes.
The reality of planning a professional approach with a busy personal life and artistic practice.
What do I get?
