Follow the story of Akanisi, a proud Lesbian navigating the complexities of love and tradition.

As her partner, Sam, plans a heartfelt proposal on the anniversary of Akanisi's Grandpa's passing - a sacred day marked by the Hertekof cultural event - Sam is unaware of a crucial secret: Akanisi has yet to come out to her traditional, conservative Grandma.

Fekei delves into the powerful themes of Queer love, Pasifika identity and the struggle for family acceptance, beautifully balancing the push and pull between personal truth and cultural expectation.

Don't miss this moving story, longlisted for the Griffin Award 2024.
